Name: Kylie-Rae “Kylie” Mikita

Position: Kylie’s role requires but is not limited to: entering sales orders, invoicing/ billing customers for products shipped, scheduling deliveries in the most efficient way possible, answering questions that customers aren’t able to find, advertising sales and promotions while making sure customers take advantage of all savings, and working alongside the sales associates to understand all special needs and requests from customers.

Background: Kylie worked for five years in retail prior to becoming a part of our Divina/Phoenix family. Retail laid the foundation for her customer service skills, communication abilities, thick-skin, and problem-solving approach. Kylie says, “My time working in retail made me realize that daily interactions and talking with people every day were something that I love to do!”

Unique Fun Facts: Apart from the Haase 2nd and 3rd generation family, Kylie holds the title of the youngest Divina/Phoenix team member! Kylie has a remarkable ability to remember numbers. She can easily recall birthdays, addresses, and phone numbers! Throughout Kylie’s youth, she was known as “the singer.” She participated in choir from 3rd to 12th grade and took part in numerous competitions. At one point, she even considered pursuing singing as a career!

Personal Life: Kylie has an older brother and a younger sister, and since they are all two years apart, she says, “I always have two people I can connect with. My mom has been my rock, and her unwavering support has always grown along with me as I navigate life’s journey and connect with what brings me joy.” Graduating from high school in 2020, amidst the peak of COVID-19, taught Kylie many valuable lessons in patience and gratitude. Before she discovered Divina/Phoenix, Kylie was working one full-time job plus three part-time jobs, all at the same time, during COVID-19!

The most important partnership in the beauty industry is the relationship between distributors and manufacturers.

Each business relies on each other for success. Distributors must engage with beauty manufacturers. The biggest and most helpful thing any beauty distributor can do to successfully sell beauty products is to develop a good relationship with the manufacturers that they represent and learn as much as they possibly can from them. Most of the manufacturers off er product knowledge classes that will help the distributor staff deliver a knowledgeable dialogue with their clients. Knowing what a product does, the features and benefits, how to use it, as well as the comparative competitive product and how it truly compares without negatively talking about the competition, will make the distributor look like a superstar in their client’s eyes. Manufacturers must support distribution. The manufacturer’s ultimate goal is the same as the distributors’ — pleasing their clients and maximizing sales. Another important partnership is the relationship between the business and its marketing partners. Distributors are brands, just like manufacturers. Streamlining the branding, and marketing across all platforms of the business will create a stronger brand awareness. They don’t represent just one manufacturer; they represent the distributor and everything it has to offer.
