Position: Laboratory Assistant

At Divina/Phoenix, quality is at the heart of everything we do—and Melanie plays a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards. As a Laboratory Assistant, Melanie is responsible for the quality control of products made in our facilities. She carefully analyzes and verifies that each item meets the strict parameters set by regulatory standards and authorities, guaranteeing that our products are safe, effective, and reliable for our customers.

Melanie’s day-to-day work involves preparing and organizing samples, maintaining lab equipment, assisting with testing procedures, and recording data, all optimizing time to increase daily production. Her attention to detail and commitment to biosafety ensure that every product we deliver is held to the highest standard. Melanie also helps maintain a clean, organized lab environment, monitors production activities, and supports communication and teamwork across departments to set objectives and keep everything running smoothly.

Background: Before joining Divina/Phoenix, Melanie gained valuable experience in quality control within the food industry, focusing on oils, margarines, and shortenings. This background provided her with a strong, solid base in laboratory practices and technical expertise, allowing her to quickly adapt and contribute to our team from day one.

Divina/Phoenix, Anniversary Date: Melanie has been with Divina /Phoenix since January and has worked in our laboratory since March. While she’s been with us for four months, her impact is already being felt—and we look forward to many more years together!

Unique Fun Facts:  Melanie says, “I have loved playing soccer since childhood—a passion I share with my entire family. I play the forward position, embracing the thrill of leading the attack on the field. For me, soccer is more than just a sport; it’s a way to create lasting memories and stay connected with loved ones.

Personal Life:  Melanie is a Biotechnology Engineer, a proud wife, and a mother to a lively 3-year-old daughter. She values spending time with her family, is passionate and dedicated to lifelong learning to always continuing improving personally and professionally. She believes strongly in the power of faith, organization, and teamwork. 

Melanie embraces challenges as opportunities for growth and lives by the principles of honor, discipline, and loyalty—where great things can be achieved.

Personal Message:  Melanie shares, “Since choosing biotechnology as my professional path, I’ve always wanted to dedicate myself to something that has a real impact and meaningful difference in people’s lives. Although my initial goal was to help find a cure for cancer, I discovered a deep passion for laboratory work and its vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality products. I understand that every lab result represents customers who rely on us to meet their expectations, and that inspires me to always give my best. I love this new path and am grateful knowing that every day I’m contributing to society and to you—our valued customers—who trust us to deliver excellence.
